Since it turns out that now-famous CIA operative Valerie Plame was working to uncover trafficking of weapons of mass destruction and her work has now been fully compromised, the person(s) within the Bush administration who outed her could be seen to have supported terrorism. Considering that, and applying the Patriot Act in the fashion that the Justice Dept. and the FBI have been applying it to an unknown number of people, couldn’t these agencies now simply “detain” everyone in the Bush administration—without trial or contact with attorneys—until they’ve each been conclusively cleared of any involvement in the outing?
